Gene Description PKN1, protein kinase N1, is a member of the protein kinase C superfamily that mediates Rho-dependent signaling pathways, thus regulates cell migration, invasion, and gene expression (PMID: 25504435, PMID: 28222172). Increased Pkn1 expression has been identified in glioma, kidney, ovarian, and prostate cancer, and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 30206226) and a fusion with HTT has been observed in pigmented epithelioid melanocytoma (PMID: 31972666).
