Gene Description ASH1L, ASH1 like histone lysine methyltransferase, is a histone methyltransferase in the trithorax group of transcription factors, which functions in gene regulation (PMID: 21239497), and is an epigenetic regulator of myoblast fusion (PMID: 30487570). ASH1L is frequently mutated in lung cancer and esophageal squamous cell cancer (PMID: 23033341, PMID: 24670651), and amplification of ASH1L has been observed in bladder cancer (PMID: 30984543).
