Gene Description

PRKDC, protein kinase, DNA-activated, catalytic subunit, is the catalytic component of the DNA-PK complex, which functions in DNA repair by non-homologous end-joining (PMID: 14726021, PMID: 24680878). PRKDC overexpression has been demonstrated in colorectal cancer (PMID: 26992638), prostate cancer (PMID: 27856181), and gastric cancer (PMID: 31255330), and PRKDC mutations may be predictive of response to immunotherapy in lung cancer, melanoma, and renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 32238472).

Downloadable data from CKB is available using the FLEX version. CKB FLEX delivers CKB content as a flat file or JSON, enabling CKB data integration.
