Gene Description MAPK11 (p38beta), mitogen-activated protein kinase 11, is an evolutionarily conserved serine/threonine kinase in the MAPK pathway that is involved in various cellular processes in response to extracellular stimuli (PMID: 21673068). MAPK11 (p38beta) is expressed in breast cancer cell lines and is associated with breast cancer cell-mediated osteolytic bone destruction (PMID: 25066918).
