Synonyms CFC4 | MAPKK2 | MEK2 | MKK2 | PRKMK2
Gene Description MAP2K2 (MEK2), mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 2, is a serine-threonine kinase that activates the RAS-RAF-MEK-ERK pathway to regulate the cell cycle, cell proliferation, and cell differentiation (PMID: 22753777, PMID: 29706623). MAP2K2 (MEK2) missense mutations are commonly associated with acquired resistance to RAF and MEK inhibitors (PMID: 24265153, PMID: 28263969, PMID: 28655712).
