Gene Description BACH1, BTB and CNC homology 1, is a member of the CNC-bZip family of transcription factors that functions as a transcriptional suppressor (PMID: 30370001) and regulates heme degradation and oxidative stress responses (PMID: 21555518). BACH1 overexpression has been shown to promote breast cancer cell migration and metastasis (PMID: 27108804) and has been associated with poor prognosis in triple-negative breast cancer (PMID: 31939443).
