Gene Description PTPRZ1, protein tyrosine phosphatase, receptor type Z1, encodes for a receptor that is activated by Hif2a and is involved in signal transduction and primarily expressed during central nervous system development (PMID: 20224786). PTPRZ1-MET fusions have been observed in glioma (PMID: 30343896) and overexpression of PTPRZ1 has been seen in a variety of tumors, including glioblastoma, renal carcinoma, and hepatocarcinoma (PMID: 20224786).
