| Gene Description | NLRC4, NLR family CARD domain containing 4, is a type of inflammasome that plays a role in the innate immune response to pathogens, which upon activation by a bacterial ligand binds and activates caspase-1, leading to pyroptosis and cell death (PMID: 32531834, PMID: 34276697). An NLRC4-ALK fusion has been identified in lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 32212216) and increased expression of NLRC4 has been observed in glioma (PMID: 31133717). | ||||||||||
