Gene Description RAD51, RAD51 recombinase, is a DNA recombinase that mediates strand exchange during homologous recombination in DNA double strand break repair (PMID: 24856061, PMID: 22467216, PMID: 30551670). Overexpression of Rad51 is associated with several tumor types (PMID: 24856061), including neuroblastoma (PMID: 31632548), colorectal cancer (PMID: 31973027), and pancreatic cancer (PMID: 31889908).
