| Gene Description | RAG1, recombination activating 1, is a structure-specific and sequence-specific nuclease involved in V(D)J recombination (PMID: 32886094, PMID: 25327637), and plays a role in establishing antigen receptor diversity (PMID: 32886094) and in T- and B-cell development (PMID: 29743177, PMID: 37497222). Decreased expression of RAG1 has been identified in myelodysplastic syndrome (PMID: 36166051) and increased expression has been observed in B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 33987955, PMID: 31333801) and lymphoid blast crisis chronic myeloid leukemia (PMID: 32076119). | ||||||||||||
