Gene Description UPF1, UPF1 RNA helicase and ATPase, is a member of the superfamily 1 of RNA helicases (PMID: 30655309) and plays a role in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (PMID: 21029861, PMID: 18423202, PMID: 20691628) and in the maintenance of genome stability (PMID: 16488880, PMID: 16861888). Mutations in UPF1 have been identified in endometrial and ovarian cancer (PMID: 31718065).
