| Gene Description | BCL2L1, BCL2 like 1, is a member of the Bcl2 family of programmed cell death regulators that inhibits apoptosis (PMID: 8358789) and can be alternatively spliced to produce pro-apoptotic and anti-apoptotic isoforms (PMID: 32303702). Overexpression of Bcl2l1 has been identified in various cancers and is associated with resistance to chemotherapy (PMID: 14613034) and BCL2L1 amplification has been observed in colorectal cancer (PMID: 28611106). | ||||||||||
