| Gene Description | RFC3, replication factor C subunit 3, encodes the 38-kDa subunit of the replication factor C complex, which loads PCNA onto DNA (PMID: 9488738, PMID: 34751190), and is involved in DNA replication (PMID: 10656791, PMID: 10656792), and maintenance of genomic stability (PMID: 33339954). RFC3 mutations have been identified in gastric and colorectal cancer (PMID: 20573375), RFC3 amplification has been identified in esophageal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 22328562), and Rfc3 overexpression has been demonstrated in ovarian cancer (PMID: 25030735) and breast cancer (PMID: 27888707). | ||||||||||
