Gene Description BCL2L2, BCL2 like 2, encodes an antiapoptotic member of the BCL2 protein family that regulates cell death via apoptotic suppression and is required for spermatogenesis (PMID: 29099482, PMID: 28094768). BCL2L2 overexpression has been identified in lymphoid malignancies (PMID: 28855351, PMID: 28094768), lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 17459056), and colorectal adenocarcinomas (PMID: 10638987).
