Gene Description RNF6, ring finger protein 6, is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that mediates ubiquitination and degradation of target proteins including AR (PMID: 19345326) and LIM kinase (PMID: 16204183), playing an important role in diverse signaling pathways (PMID: 35822825). Mutations in RNF6 have been identified in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 12154016) and increased expression of RNF6 has been identified in several tumor types (PMID: 35822825), including prostate cancer (PMID: 16204183), colorectal cancer (PMID: 29374067), and gastric cancer (PMID: 30323630).
