| Gene Description | RRM1, ribonucleotide reductase catalytic subunit M1, encodes the catalytic subunit responsible for nucleotide binding and allosteric regulation of the ribonucleotide reductase, which catalyzes the conversion of ribonucleotides to deoxyribonucleotides (PMID: 1412696, PMID: 9309223). Decreased expression of RRM1 has been identified in metastatic colorectal cancer (PMID: 26553611), hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 26661118), and adrenocortical cancers (PMID: 26715866), and increased RRM1 expression has also been identified in multiple myeloma (PMID: 28442502). | ||||||||||
