Gene Description SDC4, syndecan 4, is a heparan sulfate proteoglycan that plays a role in intracellular signaling, including cell adhesion and cell-matrix interactions (PMID: 23844358). SDC4 expression has been associated with breast cancer, an SDC4-ROS1 fusion has been identified in NSCLC (PMID: 25361632, PMID: 22919003), and an SDC4-NRG1 fusion has been identified in lung adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 28950338, PMID: 25531467), and invasive mucinous lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 29610121).
