Gene Description MAP2K4, mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 4, is a member of the MAP kinase family, which activates stress-activated protein kinase/c-Jun N-terminal kinases (PMID: 10785355) and plays a role in cell proliferation, differentiation, transcriptional regulation, and development (PMID: 31761784). Overexpression of MAP2K4 has been correlated with poor survival in breast cancer (PMID: 31761784) and MAP2K4 missense mutations have been observed in breast, prostate, and colon cancers (PMID: 29795445).
