Gene Description SOX17, SRY-box transcription factor 17, is a member of the SOXF subclass of SOX transcription factors that regulates endoderm development, and antagonizes Wnt signaling through competing for beta-catenin binding (PMID: 31419525). SOX17 mutations have been associated with endometrial cancer (PMID: 28978154) and decreased Sox17 expression has been identified in a variety of solid tumors including hepatocellular carcinoma, breast, and colorectal cancer (PMID: 31536760).
