Gene Description DEPTOR, DEP domain containing MTOR-interacting protein, is an mTOR binding protein that negatively regulates signaling by mTORC1 and mTORC2 (PMID: 19446321, PMID: 29897294). Aberrant expression of Deptor has been observed in a variety of tumor types, but a recent meta-analysis shows Deptor expression does not correlate with prognosis (PMID: 30174446), however, it may be invloved in chemoresistance (PMID: 28267437, PMID: 31710966) and is a putative tumor suppressor in prostate cancer (PMID: 31685947).
