Gene Description BCL11B, BAF chromatin remodeling complex subunit BCL11B, encodes a component of the BAF chromatin remodeling complex (PMID: 23644491) that functions as a transcriptional repressor (PMID: 16091750, PMID: 20544728), thereby regulating the function and development of T cells (PMID: 25128552, PMID: 20969590) and the nervous system (PMID: 28424591). BCL11B mutations have been identified in T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 21878675), and BCL11B fusions have been identified in a number of hematological malignancies including T-cell leukemia and acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 15668700, PMID: 22867996, PMID: 24504345, PMID: 26186352).
