Gene Description SSTR2, somatostatin receptor 2, is a member of the somatostatin family of G protein-coupled receptors that regulates endocrine and exocrine secretions (PMID: 16625838). Aberrant Sstr2 expression has been identified in a variety of tumors (PMID: 21034425, PMID: 20637207, PMID: 9440032) and overexpression has been reported in small cell lung cancer (PMID: 31649014).
