Gene Description SSTR5, somatostatin receptor 5, is a member of the somatostatin family of G protein-coupled receptors that regulates endocrine and exocrine secretions (PMID: 16625838). Aberrant Sstr5 expression has been identified in a variety of tumors including cholangiocellular carcinoma, neuroendocrine tumors, meningioma (PMID: 29282035, PMID: 27875519, PMID: 26722517), and corticotroph pituitary adenoma (PMID: 30627156).
