Gene Description STAT5B, signal transducer and activator of transcription 5B, is a transcription factor of the JAK/STAT signaling pathway (PMID: 31690038) that regulates hematopoietic proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis (PMID: 24416653). STAT5B activation is associated with prostate and hematological cancers (PMID: 24416653, PMID: 24573384, PMID: 18508994) and recurrent mutations have been identified in peripheral T cell leukemia/lymphoma (PMID: 31690038).
