| Gene Description | TAP2, transporter 2, ATP binding cassette subfamily B member, forms a complex with TAP1 (PMID: 10581370), and functions as an ATP-dependent peptide transporter (PMID: 8348620), and plays a role in peptide loading and assembly with MHC class I dimers (PMID: 1946428, PMID: 7809108). Decreased expression of TAP2 has been identified in tonsillar squamous cell carcinoma and base of tongue squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 25749172) while overexpression of TAP2 has been identified in high grade breast carcinoma (PMID: 29091951). | ||||||||||
