Gene Description ELOC, elongin C, is a component of RNA polymerase II elongation factor complex that promotes mRNA elongation (PMID: 7660129), and also a subunit of the VHL tumor suppressor complex that activates HIF1alpha ubiquitination (PMID: 10973499). ELOC mutations have been identified in clear-cell renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 23797736), ELOC amplification and overexpression have been identified in prostate cancer (PMID: 12004003).
