| Gene Description | TCF4, transcription factor 4, is a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor (PMID: 31666615) that acts downstream of the Wnt signaling pathway (PMID: 12086873), and plays a role in epithelial-mesenchymal transition (PMID: 31666615, PMID: 41160897) and nervous system development (PMID: 31666615, PMID: 39722673). Increased expression of Tcf4 has been observed in colon cancer (PMID: 24846398) while decreased expression has been observed in non-small cell lung cancer and ovarian cancer (PMID: 32224864). | ||||||||||||
