Gene Description BTG1, BTG anti-proliferation factor 1, is a member of the B-cell translocation gene family, and is a negative regulator of cell cycle progression, activates ATF4 in response to cellular stress, and is required for neuronal and hematopoietic cell differentiation (PMID: 30350856). BTG1 loss is associated with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 22359517), and reduced expression has been identified in multiple solid tumors including ovarian carcinoma (PMID: 24084718), and hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 25405901).
