| Gene Description | TFAP4, transcription factor AP-4, is a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor and target of Myc (PMID: 18818310) that acts as a mediator of cell proliferation, apoptosis, senescence, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (PMID: 33567514), cell cycle progression (PMID: 25261373), and transformation (PMID: 23949224). Altered expression of Tfap4 has been observed in a variety of tumor types (PMID: 33373169), including overexpression in gastric carcinoma (PMID: 21336989), colorectal cancer (PMID: 28912857), hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 31281549), and prostate cancer (PMID: 28981098). | ||||||||||||
