| Gene Description | TSPAN4, tetraspanin 4, is a member of the transmembrane-4 superfamily (TM4SF) proteins that interacts with integrin (PMID: 9360996) and contributes to the assembly of migrasomes (PMID: 31371827, PMID: 31371828), which play a role in organ morphogenesis (PMID: 31371827), angiogenesis (PMID: 36443426), cell migration and invasion (PMID: 40443671). A TSPAN4-CD151 fusion has been identified in ependymoma (PMID: 27401149), and increased expression of Tspan4 has been identified in various tumor types (PMID: 36685274), including hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 22236579), glioblastoma (PMID: 39108703), and gastric cancer (PMID: 30106120). | ||||||||||||
