| Gene Description | TNF, tumor necrosis factor, is a cytokine member of the TNF superfamily (PMID: 29484738) and is mainly produced by macrophages in response to inflammation (PMID: 30585274). Due to the potent anti-tumor effects of Tnf, its role in immunotherapy is under rapid investigation, but has been hampered, to date, due to high toxicity associated with administration of systemic Tnf (PMID: 30170620, PMID: 29484738). | ||||||||||
