Gene Description TOP2A, DNA topoisomerase II alpha, is one of the isozymes of DNA topoisomerase II that resolves topological problems during DNA replication, transcription and chromosome segregation (PMID: 19377505). Altered TOP2A copy number and expression have been identified in breast (PMID: 22612507), ovarian (PMID: 19270648), gall bladder (PMID: 18204862), and nasopharyngeal cancer (PMID: 23897556).
