Gene Description TP73, tumor protein 73, is a p53 family transcription factor and is activated in response to DNA damage to regulate cell death and cell cycle arrest (PMID: 31852961). TP73 is dysregulated in several tumor types (PMID: 24488880, PMID: 23913810), including cervical cancer (PMID: 31332036), and is expressed as several isoforms, including some with opposing activities (PMID: 24488880, PMID: 23913810).
