| Gene Description | ACTG2, actin gamma 2, smooth muscle, encodes an isoform of actin specifically expressed in smooth muscle cells and contributes to cell contractility (PMID: 1710027, PMID: 26647307). Altered Actg2 expression has been identified in colorectal and prostate cancer, small intestinal neuroendocrine tumors, and leiomyosarcoma (PMID: 30786729, PMID: 29286311, PMID: 27107594, PMID: 24889065), and an ACTG2-ALK fusion has been identified in leiomyosarcoma (PMID: 30518629). | ||||||||||
