Gene Description TSHR, thyroid stimulating hormone receptor, is the receptor for thyrotropin, which acts to promote thyroid cell proliferation and function (PMID: 21511239, PMID: 25333622, PMID: 28484426). TSHR mutations are frequently observed in thyroid cancer (PMID: 21511239, PMID: 25333622, PMID: 28351942) and have also been observed in hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 29715101).
