| Gene Description | TYK2, tyrosine kinase 2, is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase in the JAK subfamily, which regulates cytokine signal transduction through STATs (PMID: 31694222), cellular growth, and differentiation, and plays a role in immune surveillance (PMID: 23482926, PMID: 15578097). Increased expression of TYK2 has been observed in prostate and squamous cervical carcinomas (PMID: 23482926), decreased TYK2 expression has been observed in ESR1-negative breast cancer (PMID: 22116632), and TYK2 missense mutations have been observed in pediatric leukemia (PMID: 31694222). | ||||||||||
