Gene Description VEGFB, vascular endothelial growth factor B, is a growth factor that may stimulate angiogenesis through interaction with the FLT1 receptor (PMID: 19029957). Vegfb overexpression has been observed in ovarian, colorectal, renal-cell, and prostate cancer (PMID: 19029957) and VEGFB promoter methylation correlates with increased Vegfb expression and tumor progression in ovarian cancer (PMID: 23965899).
