| Gene Description | WEE1, WEE1 G2 checkpoint kinase, is a tyrosine kinase that phosphorylates and inactivates the Cdk1-cyclin B complex, resulting in cell cycle arrest (PMID: 32120135), which allows DNA repair (PMID: 27427153). Altered Wee1 expression level has been reported in various cancers (PMID: 27427153) and inhibition of Wee1 activity may enhance response to chemotherapy (PMID: 32204315, PMID: 32047167, PMID: 32010435) and radiotherapy (PMID: 32220892, PMID: 31659268). | ||||||||||||
