Gene Description XPA, XPA, DNA damage recognition and repair factor, is a component of the nucleotide excision repair (NER) pathway, playing a role in verification of DNA damage and functioning as a scaffolding protein for the NER incision complex (PMID: 27247238, PMID: 32235701). Decreased XPA expression has been demonstrated in colorectal cancer (PMID: 29675892).
