| Gene Description | ZIC1, Zic family zinc finger 1, is a transcription factor that plays a role in neural and cerebellar development (PMID: 29442326), bone homeostasis, and meningeal development (PMID: 29442325), and plays a role in regulation of Wnt signaling (PMID: 16892174). ZIC1 gain of function and loss of function mutations have been identified in medulloblastoma (PMID: 39753768) and altered Zic1 expression has been identified in several tumor types, including increased expression in medulloblastoma (PMID: 20199689), endometrial cancer (PMID: 26670443), meningioma (PMID: 20199689), and desmoid tumors (PMID: 17936758), and decreased expression in colorectal (PMID: 21347233), gastric cancer (PMID: 27177248), and hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 24782033). | ||||||||||||
