Gene Description BTG2, BTG anti-proliferation factor 2, is a tumor suppressor that acts as a transcriptional co-activator to regulate gene expression (PMID: 30350856), and is involved in regulation of proliferation (PMID: 8944033, PMID: 30350856), differentiation (PMID: 30350856), DNA damage response (PMID: 8944033, PMID: 23089312, PMID: 30350856), and apoptosis (PMID: 23089312, PMID: 30350856). BTG2 downregulation has been observed in a variety of cancer types including medulloblastoma (PMID: 17371797), lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 36157236), breast cancer (PMID: 15378000), bladder cancer (PMID: 29239139), and laryngeal carcinoma (PMID: 19546886).
