| Gene Description | MAPKAP1, MAPK associated protein 1, is an mTORC2 complex subunit that acts as a scaffold and functions in substrate recognition (PMID: 37877351) and is involved in regulation of Akt signaling (PMID: 17043309) and cell survival (PMID: 16962653). MAPKAP1 mutations have been identified in ovarian cancer and skin cancer (PMID: 24161930) and overexpression has been identified in a variety of tumor types (PMID: 37877351) including breast cancer (PMID: 27780891), hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 23564492), and prostate cancer (PMID: 32088212). | ||||||||||||
