Gene Description TFEB, transcription factor EB, is a transcription factor that regulates lysosomal function and biogenesis, thus involves in cellular response to stress conditions (PMID: 27298091). A MALAT1-TFEB fusion has been identified in a subset of renal cell carcinomas (PMID: 27298091, PMID: 32239878) and TFEB amplification has also been observed in renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 30269777).
