Gene Description SEM1, SEM1 26S proteasome complex subunit, is also referred to as DSS1 and associates with other factors to regulate DNA double strand break repair (PMID: 26145171) and functions in protein degradation and mRNA export (PMID: 30355493). Increased expression of SEM1 has been associated with cervical and breast cancers (PMID: 26145171, PMID: 23024267, PMID: 24289229).
