Gene Description NR4A3, nuclear receptor subfamily 4 group A member 3, is a ligand-independent nuclear receptor that plays a role in the transcriptional activation of genes involved in inflammation, proliferation, differentiation, and survival (PMID: 20631354). Alterations in NR4A3 expression levels and NR4A3 fusions have been linked to a variety of cancer types (PMID: 22566377), including EWSR1-NR4A3, TAF15-NR4A3, TCF12-NR4A3, and TFG-NR4A3 fusions in extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma (PMID: 24746215, PMID: 24508382, PMID: 31020999).
