Gene Description

FBXO11, F-box protein 11, is part of the SCF E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex, which promotes protein degradation and plays a role in regulation of cell cycle progression and cell proliferation, migration, and apoptosis through interaction with several pathways including TP53, BCL6, and TGF-beta (PMID: 17098746, PMID: 23892434, PMID: 22113614, PMID: 20514423). Mutations in FBXO11 have been identified in diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (PMID: 22113614) and an FBXO11-ALK fusion has been identified in lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 30368418).
