Synonyms CAIN | CAN | IIAE9
Gene Description NUP214, nucleoporin 214, encodes a nucleoporin protein that forms a subcomplex with the nuclear pore complex and is involved in protein and mRNA export during mitosis (PMID: 25743594) and is critical for nucleocytoplasmic transport (PMID: 30669574). NUP214 fusions are recurrent in AML and ALL (PMID: 25120641), including DEK-NUP214 fusions in pediatric myeloid leukemia (PMID: 24441146), NUP214-ABL1 in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 15361874, PMID: 31556219), and SET-NUP214 in AML (PMID: 30809988).
