Gene Description ELL, elongation factor RNA polymerase II, is a component of the super elongation complex that increases the catalytic rate of RNA polymerase II (PMID: 10995463). A KMT2A ELL fusion has been demonstrated to transform primary myeloid progenitor cells, which eventually leads to acute myeloid leukemia in mouse models (PMID: 10995463).
