Gene Description H2AC6, H2A clustered histone 6, is a member of the histone H2A family of histone proteins that encodes a core component of the nucleosome (PMID: 33827674) and is involved in transcriptional regulation (PMID: 18675384) and may play a role in cellular differentiation (PMID: 23717473) and proliferation (PMID: 30165676). Mutations in H2AC6 have been observed in follicular lymphoma (PMID: 24435047), and increased expression of H2AC6 has been identified in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (PMID: 23956221).
