Gene Description MAD1L1, mitotic arrest deficient 1 like 1, is a spindle checkpoint factor that regulates chromosomal segregation (PMID: 11980658) and interacts with MAD2L1 to transduce the checkpoint signal (PMID: 26183163). A MAD1L1-BRAF fusion has been identified in spitzoid melanoma (PMID: 23890088) and a RARS-MAD1L1 fusion has been observed in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (PMID: 29133573).
